Evros

In 2018 Evros presented Action Aid with a cheque for €14,000 to build a creche and two classrooms in the southern Nepali village of Dharamanger. Evros Microsoft Practise Director Gerry Kerr and his wife Trish have been child sponsors with ActionAid for the past 30 years.

Gerry and Trish were given the chance to visit the village and experience what life was like first-hand for their sponsored child. Seeing first hand the need for more funding in the village, they decided to raise money to build a creche and two classrooms in the village.

Gerry and Trish and the Evros team involved raised a staggering €7,000, which the company then matched to bring the grand total to €14,000. A keen photographer, Gerry also exhibited photos taken on the trip in the Evros headquarters.

Established in 1990, Evros Technology Group offers design, supply, implementation and support of organisations’ IT infrastructure with over 400 employees operating out of offices in Dublin, Cork and Waterford.

Brand Led Growth

In 2017/2018, Brand Led Growth assisted ActionAid with the development of their new communications strategy. The company offered the service to ActionAid pro bono.

DPFOC

ActionAid Ireland is currently enjoying its 3rd year of support from Cork based Digital Agency DPFOC.

DPFOC support our work by sponsoring two children. Child Sponsorship is a fantastic way to create long-term change for families and communities in the developing world. Thanks to the long-term, consistent, donation communities have the chance to plan for development activities that are sustainable right into the future.

DPFOC are the only sponsors for for the two children they support – and see the long-term change in the community through the drawings, messages and reports they receive from the children.

Crowe Horwath

Last December staff at Crowe Horwath generously donated €1,141.50 to ActionAid Ireland.

This fantastic donation was from a staff led bake sale, which was organised just before Christmas. We’ve included a picture to the right tweeted by the team – just before all the cakes were sold!

The funds raised will support ActionAid Ireland’s ongoing women’s rights and education work.

New Relic

New Relic generously donated €200 and hosted a photo exhibition of our work surrounding our Safe Cities campaign. As an organisation that fights for women’s rights, it was particularly heartening to see this organised to mark International Women’s Day 2017 on 8^th March.

New Relic is a leading software analytics company, that has had a presence in Ireland since 2014.

We thank New Relic and their staff for a wonderful donation, which will support our work in Africa and Asia.

ESB

To mark International Women’s Day 2017 on 8^th March, ESB Networks staff organised a bake sale in aid of ActionAid’s Women’s Rights work, raising a fantastic total of €321.

These funds will ensure that ActionAid will continue to fight for women’s rights around the world. We thank the staff at ESB Networks for their wonderful support.
