The devastating flash floods in Bangladesh have left almost 5 million people without their homes, without food and without hope.

Already 23 people have been killed by the ravages of the sudden floods in Bangladesh, and millions more have been left with nothing, trying to survive in an environment which is deadly. The scale of the devastation is overwhelming, and urgent help is needed.
ActionAid is already working with our local teams on the ground in Bangladesh, delivering vital emergency supplies to the survivors in the Noakhali District including medicine, water purification tablets, food and dignity kits.

Bangladesh floods relief - ActionAid's response

But, as Country Director for ActionAid Bangladesh says:

“Entire families have lost everything – we are working tirelessly to provide relief”

While continuing to support women and families right now in the aftermath of the flooding, we won’t stop there. Families in Bangladesh have lost livelihoods, as well as lives – and our long term work will not only repair basic sanitation and hygiene infrastructure in the areas affected, but also support the community to rebuild their own homes and livelihoods.
Please help us be there for the millions affected by this unimaginable disaster.
