Charity is fourteen years old and lives in the Imvepi Refugee Settlement. She got her first period a year ago and, when there were no pads available, she often felt she had no choice but to stay home from school. Missing lessons each month left her worried about falling behind and her future at risk.
Thanks to the kindness of ActionAid supporters like you, Charity received reusable pads and now says she goes to school every day, even during her period. “They have helped me a lot,” she says with pride.
