From Kenya to Cork
We’re running a special ‘From Kenya to Cork’ event at 5.30pm, Wednesday 12 September at the Imperial Hotel, 76 South Mall, Cork*.
The event will give an update on ActionAid’s work in some of the poorest communities across the world. We will hear from our special guest speaker, Agnes Kola, who is our National Women’s Rights Coordinator in Kenya. Agnes has 15 years’ experience working on the ground in Kenya, and her passion is to work with women living in poverty and exclusion to overcome injustice, which is core to the work of ActionAid.
Agnes will be joined by other speakers including Siobhán McGee, CEO of ActionAid Ireland. The event provides a great opportunity to learn more about how ActionAid are furthering women’s rights, the work of ActionAid more broadly, and ask questions.
