ActionAid will open its doors on Culture Night 2018
On Friday 21st of September ActionAid Ireland will celebrate Culture Night. And so we will open our Dublin city centre office to supporters and friends, as well as to the public.
The event is free and open to all between 6-9pm to come along and experience an array of vibrant cultures from communities in Asia and Africa through a night of interactive displays, storytelling, and fun for all ages.
What to expect
ActionAid will celebrate African and Asian cultures, with food, photographs, talks and interactive activities.
In addition, on the evening there will also be discussions on challenging harmful cultural practices anywhere in the world, from tax avoidance to violence against and women.
Siobhan McGee, CEO said of the event: “We are pleased to take part in Culture Night for the second time this year. ActionAid has a long history supporting women and children in the developing world to lift themselves out of poverty. We look forward to opening our doors to share these stories. And to hear your thoughts on culture and different cultural practices.”
