This escalation is being driven by political and military decisions taken far from the communities affected. Yet it is ordinary people who will pay the price through death, displacement and rising poverty.
With this emergency appeal, our local partners are supporting communities affected by conflict, displacement and rising economic hardship across Jordan, Lebanon, and Palestine.

In southern Lebanon, Israeli evacuation orders have forced thousands of people to flee their homes once again. At the same time, the escalation of violence is unfolding alongside the ongoing crisis in the occupied Palestinian territory.
In Gaza and the West Bank, Israeli authorities have closed most border crossings and checkpoints, severely restricting the entry of humanitarian assistance and essential supplies. The Israeli authorities are further deepening an already catastrophic humanitarian situation.
If the total amount raised for this appeal exceeds the funds needed for the response, ActionAid will transfer the remaining balance to the Emergency Action Fund.
