Face to face
fundraising

To make the biggest positive impact on the lives of women and girls around the world, we run face-to-face fundraising campaigns across Ireland. This is one of the most important forms of fundraising for us.

Why face-to-face fundraising matters

The ongoing support it generates means we can continue our work to create lasting change with the women, children, and communities we work with around the world.

From time to time, you may come across our team of dedicated fundraisers on the street, in your local shop, or in your neighbourhood. Our fundraisers will always be wearing ActionAid branded clothing. They will also always carry ID. Please note that our fundraisers are not allowed to accept, nor ask for, any cash donations.

Committed to safe and responsible fundraising

If you ever have any questions or feedback for us about our face-to-face fundraising, or want to make sure you’re speaking with a member of our team, please get in touch with us by email at info@actionaid.ie or by phone at 01 878 7911.

To assist us with your feedback, please ensure that you provide as many details as possible (location, description, date, time of day).

We partner with a third-party fundraising organisation to run our campaigns. Our team of fundraisers are thoroughly trained on our mission, values, and work. We expect the highest standards from all our representatives and are committed to ensuring all our interactions with the public are friendly, positive, and professional.

Our fundraisers will ask for an ongoing donation paid monthly via Direct Debit or Credit Card.

We and all of our our third party agencies fully adhere to all fundraising principles and practices as directed by the Charities Regulatory Authority and Charities Institute Ireland, including the Governance Code for Face to Face Fundraising.

We are also fully compliant with GDPR and ensure all third-party organisations we work with are too. Please see here for more information on our privacy policy.
