Education, Awareness and Prevention Programmes work
Birhane was a traditional circumciser for 10 years and carried out female genital mutilation (FGM), which she thought was a good practice in shaping girls for their future marriage. After joining ActionAid Women’s Groups she became a leader in rejecting FGM.
Will you donate today and empower women like Birhane to become leaders in rejecting FGM?
With a donation of €5 per week, for example, you could support ActionAid Women’s Groups to educate both men and women on the harmful impact of FGM and empower communities to reject this torture.
With an estimated 3 million girls at risk of FGM this year, support like yours is desperately needed.
