Why Gaza needs our help
Children in Gaza are suffering. Tragically, 15 children died in the latest Israeli military operation in August 2022, and many more are experiencing extreme trauma and emotional distress from the ongoing conflict.
ActionAid’s local staff and partners are on the ground providing essential supplies and support for women and children, but we urgently need more help.
Gaza has been under blockade by the Israeli authorities for 15 years. Unemployment levels are amongst the highest in the world, basic medicines are in short supply and over half of the population require food assistance. The recent violence, which has shattered lives, destroyed schools and health facilities, and displaced entire families, is making this already unbearable situation even worse for the children who live there.

What is ActionAid doing in Gaza?
ActionAid Palestine is supporting women and children whose lives have been torn apart.
Coordinating with local partners, we are providing food and hygiene kits, including soap, toothbrushes, sanitary products and underwear, to the worst-hit families.
We are also providing psycho-social support to women and children who are suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
